  • Overview

    This position is responsible for performing specific activities related to the Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) management functions of Saulsbury Industries. The purpose of this position is to provide technical and procedural assistance for implementation and administration of HSE systems. This position will interface with management & field personnel on a regular basis, providing information and support to facilitate continuous improvement. HSE Field Representatives work to ensure compliance with all HSE standards and requirements disseminated by the Company, its clients, and by the law. HSE Field Representatives participate in or lead activities related to process analysis, corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, JSA and other project based activities related to the administration and improvement of the HSE systems. The candidate for this position must be willing to travel and live near the project work site.


    HSE education, professional registration or certification preferred, but not required. Presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills required. Position requires strong leadership, communication and organizational skills with:

    • Minimum of three (3) years HSE experience including at least one (1) year site Primary HSE responsibility in Oil & Gas Industry (Upstream or Midstream), or Construction Projects.
    • 2 year Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Health, Environmental or Safety, or a closely aligned science or engineering discipline preferred but not required.
    • Solid working knowledge of CFR 1910 General Industry & 1926 Construction standards
    • Strong computer skills and organizational abilities are required.
    • Willing to travel 80% of the time to support field operations including occasional irregular work times and days to support a 24x7 operation.
    • Skilled in HSE tools and techniques, i.e. Incident Investigations (Root Cause), Electrical Safety, Construction Safety, Permit to Work, Crane Operations, scaffolding, job safety analysis, etc.


    • Provide technical Health, Environmental & Safety support for Field Projects.
    • Directly involved in the development, management and administration of HSE activities related to implementation of policies, procedures and programs established by the company.
    • Works with management & field personnel to assure compliance and effective administration of the HSE system.
    • Help eliminate or reduce the occurrence of unwanted & undesired events such as injuries, illnesses, environmental releases, etc.
    • Works to eliminate failures by actively participating in process analysis, root cause analysis and other methodologies appropriate to the scope of the problem.
    • Helps to provide training and technical assistance to the field locations for the development of personnel on HSE related topics, policies and programs.
    • Provide post incident/accident review of incident reports and recommends appropriate corrective actions in a timely manner.
    • Must be able to work in team environment
