  • Overview

    Manage the Quality Control Program for the Dallas Division reporting administratively to the (Division) VP Construction Services and functionally to the (corporate) Sr. Director QA/QC. This position supports Boiler Maintenance and Nuclear Maintenance Operations.


    • Implement and maintain a multi-discipline Quality Assurance and Quality Control program for the Dallas Division.
    • Selects, coordinates assignment of and manages all Quality Personnel who perform audit, inspection, surveillance, and/or testing activities for projects executed within the division.
    • Effectively interprets contract quality requirements to establish inspection, testing and quality service activities for projects.
    • Interfaces with corporate advisors for technical support in welding, coating, civil, electrical, instrumentation, documentation and other quality related practices and applications and keeps the corporate advisors informed of issues, challenges and opportunities.
    • Prepares and distributes Bi-Weekly reports to divisional and corporate management and to report on quality related challenges and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provides training to the division and project personnel regarding the implementation of the quality control program and maintenance of quality related documentation, data and records.
    • Supports the Business Development teams with information for proposals and project estimates as needed
    • Assists Project and Construction Management and Project Quality teams to troubleshoot and assures follow through on resolve of reported quality issues.
    • Monitors, maintains and reports quality metrics to the corporate quality team.
    • Attends and participates in periodic corporate quality status and quality program improvement meetings.
    • Coordinates Third Party Testing agencies for performing NDE services to support projects.
    • Coordinates with Corporate Welding/Mech Advisor and/or with third party agencies for qualifying weld procedures, welder certifications.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • 10+ years’ experience in and extensive knowledge of construction quality control activities for oil and gas and power plant construction and maintenance projects. (Nuclear experience preferred).
    • 5+ years’ experience working in Quality role with ASME Boiler and pressure Vessel Code Fabrication for ASME Sections I, III (Divisions 1, 2, 3), IV, VIII(Divisions 1, 2, 3), X, XI, XII and National Board.
    • Extensive knowledge of API, AWS, ASME, ANSI and NBIC Codes
    • Working knowledge of other discipline codes (i.e.: NACE, IEE, IBC, NRC etc.)
    • ASQ Certified Quality Manager or equivalent to include minimum of eight (8) years previous experience in a similar leadership role in fabrication and installation of piping, structural, vessels, tanks, skids etc. in the oil and gas and/or nuclear industries.(preferred)
    • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (preferred)
    • Knowledge and use of computers and software packages
