Overview

Provides administrative support for field operation and implementing systems, procedures and policies as directed by the corporate office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist craft employees with employment paperwork, verifying documents, E-verify, Attorney General, completeness of paperwork and adhering to deadlines of submitting information into Spectrum and other HR systems.
  • Assist with craft orientation and safety training
  • General office duties as directed by project management – scanning, answering phones, filing and maintaining written and electronic documentation and correspondence., copying, and data entry.
  • Balance and submit time via recap from signed timesheets to payroll by Monday’s at 10:00 A.M.
  • Assist in purchasing - paperwork, collecting and matching delivery tickets, communicate with vendors, prepare for billing
  • Obtaining proper approvals for various paperwork
  • Phase codes – enter phase codes correctly on time and material recaps
  • Assist superintendents on weekly progress reports
  • Assist safety as needed with scanning, documentation/reports and drug screens
  • Support Superintendent with equipment inventory, tracking, and coding. Receive, sort and log all incoming deliveries; prepare all outbound deliveries.
  • Ensure procurement of office supplies and consumable materials
  • Knowledgeable of Insurance benefits, FMLA, 401K, administering and submitting forms in a timely manner, help craft employees regarding insurance questions
  • Liaison between Superintendent and craft employees
  • Work closely with the HR team regarding field paperwork

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in administration, payroll, accounting or finance
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Possess valid drivers’ license with a good driving record

 

Training Requirements

 

  • Electrical Apprentice License.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code and basic safety practices

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to see things clearly that are beyond arm’s reach. (Far visual acuity)
  • Ability to see small
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Cognitive Requirements

 

  • Reading comprehension skill to understand work orders, written instructions, technical manuals, safety procedures, and parts catalogs
  • Mathematical skill to perform basic calculations
  • Oral communication skills for routine and technical information exchange with coworkers, supervisors, or other personnel
  • Skill in using hand signals
  • Knowledge of basic electrical safety practices and principles
  • Knowledge of the problems, equipment, and techniques involved in installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining cables, wiring, motors generators, pumps, switchboards, oil machinery, and circuits
  • Mechanical ability to understand the operation of electrical circuits and perform major equipment repairs
  • Ability to evaluate work conditions and quality, and to make decisions regarding course of actions (decision making)
  • Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
  • Obtained license as necessary to work in regulated states and municipalities
