    • ASME and NB Code Work Program Management
    • NDE, PWHT and Coating Subcontractor Qualification and Conformance Monitoring


    • Assists Project Management, Construction and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve reported quality issues related to welding, mechanical and structural fabrication and/or erection.
    • Provides guidance to project quality, production and welding personnel relating to specification restrictions, material processes, pre- and post-heating requirements which involve use of carbon steel and alloy steel welding and fabrication, unusual fabrication methods, welding of critical joints, and complex post weld heating requirements.
    • Develops and/or supervises development of welding techniques and weld procedures to meet industry code requirements and client specification requirements.
    • Manages the corporate weld procedure and welder testing program.
    • Conducts or participates in corporate and project level quality audits and assessments.
    • Develops and/or participates in development, rollout and training to quality related work process procedures and processes targeting quality and productivity.
    • Reviews / approves quality related technical submittals from subcontractors and clients.
    • Plans, promotes, develops and organizes training activities related to quality.
    • Participates in development and analysis of statistical quality data and specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy.
    • Conducts technology research to continuously improve quality and productivity of welding and NDE methods, techniques, and procedures.
    • Recommends the acquisition of needed test or quality-related equipment and coordinates the procurement, installation and training of appropriate personnel in the use of that equipment.


    • At least 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Construction Industry, 8-10 years preferred.
    • 8+ years’ experience in Construction Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance experience.
    • Deep understanding and knowledge of industry codes related to materials and welding including ASTM, AWS, ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, NACE,
    • Familiar with regulatory statutes related to gas plant facilities, power plant and weld pad installations
    • Welding Technology or Engineering Degree (preferred)
    • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (required), AWS Certified Welding Educator (preferred).
    • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (preferred)
    • ASNT Level III Certification in RT, UT, PT, MT (preferred)
    • Knowledge and use of computers and software packages
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills at a high level
    • Initiative and creative problem solving skills
    • High level of commitment to safety
    • The ability to work as a team player within a dynamic and continuously changing work environment. Understands staged deployment of improvement efforts and change management.
