The QC Document Technician position is a member of the on-site quality control team for the project. This role is implemented to provide assistance to production in meeting contractually defined requirements.

This role reports to the Project Quality Lead or to the Division Quality Manager.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a QC Document technician/specialist.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access. (Additional spreadsheet & database experience is preferred), Bluebeam Revu.
• Reading and interpreting piping isometrics and P&IDs.
• Good written communication and reporting skills with proper use of grammar and spelling.
• Must possess the ability to understand the underlying document control principles involved with a strong initiative to apply them
• Must possess character traits of being accurate, meticulous, proactive, efficient, self-organizing, and a team player.
• Experience and familiarity with large construction projects

• Works cooperatively with client representatives, Saulsbury Quality Management, Saulsbury Project Manager, Saulsbury Construction Management and subcontractors in a teamwork environment with transparent sharing of information to the benefit of the project and to Saulsbury Industries.
• Review project documents and drawings to ensure conformance to project requirements.
• Develop and maintain current weld log(s), weld map(s), ISO's and P&ID's in addition to completed "turnover" package(s) to customer(s)
• Complete and issue daily and weekly reports of QC activities performed.
• Implement the relevant requirements of the approved Quality, Inspection and Test Plans.
• Maintain a punch list of deficiencies discovered and report open items weekly.
• Report all discrepancies or concerns immediately upon discovery to the Project Quality Lead.
