The Director of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for developing and executing well-defined marketing and communications strategies that support consistent business growth, increased visibility, and strategic direction of the company.  The Director will be responsible for the creation, development and management of ongoing corporate communications; media relations; marketing and branding programs.


  • Develop and lead a high performing marketing team to achieve strategic goals
  • Work cross-functionally with executive management team, operations, etc. to develop and communicate corporate strategic goals and initiatives
  • Create and execute new marketing strategies and plans, including social media and value proposition campaigns
  • Build and implement an effective, strategic external communications plan that advances Saulsbury’s brand identity, broadens awareness of its vison, mission and core values, and increases the visibility of its work across key stakeholder audiences
  • Serve as a spokesperson in media interactions, crisis situations, and marketing opportunities that help promote and/or positively impact the company and its reputation


  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related discipline preferred
  • 6 + years of experience in marketing, communications and/or management
  • Proven experience in senior leadership position
  • Aptitude for providing leadership and strategic direction to ensure success of department
  • Experience in all aspects of brand management/development and developing marketing strategies to meet company objectives
  • Proactive management style with the ability to engage, develop and mentor employees
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working team relationships with internal and external stakeholders
