Saulsbury Industries is seeking an Industrial Electrical Field Engineer to be based out of our Western Division in Farmington, New Mexico, with temporary onsite industrial project assignments throughout the western states.


Consideration Summary


To be considered, candidates will need field experience in the industrial electrical and instrumentation industry and will have or be pursuing their BSEE degree or a relevant associates / technical degree. Candidates must be able to relocate to projects throughout the western U.S., with potential for permanent assignment in our Farmington, New Mexico office.

  • Thorough competency with construction drawings/ specifications/ engineering documents and familiarity with the construction process
  • Work closely with site management, design/ project engineers, vendors and subcontractors
  • Update/ track project status and generate status reports
  • Update/ create project CPM schedule(s) and associated commodity curves
  • Estimate and prepare change orders for project scope changes
  • Prepare material submittals
  • Purchase materials and coordinate deliveries
  • Work with field supervision regarding document control, scheduling and materials
  • Oversee project document control
  • Oversee red line drawings are completed for all field variances
  • Ensure construction compliance with contract documents
  • Interact, develop and maintain a positive working relationship with personnel at all levels




  • Experience and ability to perform or quickly learn duties/responsibilities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a diverse multi-craft team environment
  • Capable of performing work associated with industrial electrical construction under conditions imposed by the job – outdoors, varying heights, varying climates
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/Access and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience or ability to become proficient with estimating software, Auto Cad and Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Knowledge of the NEC, and ability to comply with local/project codes and standards
