Overview

Perform all aspects of Proposal Activity, ensuring that all documents are professionally prepared, responsive to all Client requirements, and properly delivered in terms of time, mode, and place.  Coordinates with numerous departments/leads to develop required components of the proposal and reviews deliverables to ensure suitability and completeness prior to submission.  Work closely with business development, estimating and operations groups to ensure that the needs of clients are being met while maintaining compliance with Saulsbury procedures, standards and expectations. Work with the Business Development Lead in managing the CRM system.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs), organize/develop proposal response and assign deliverables
  • Identify key requirements of the RFP and ensure compliance in submittal.
  • Coordinate all elements of the Proposal to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in the kickoff meeting and proposal reviews and can facilitate proposal-planning meetings
  • Develop and manage assignment due dates with team members to facilitate required submission and review timelines
  • Ensure consistent formatting for Proposal text, graphics and exhibits across all business lines
  • Validate Proposal verbiage is consistent in style and content between sections
  • Organize and coordinate with the Business Development Lead the business line and executive reviews as required
  • Ensure the Approval Matrix criteria is followed for all reviews
  • Implement a stringent proof reading methodology including appropriate technical reviewers
  • Ensure that all “notices” are filed in a timely manner (“intent to bid”, “no bid”, final submission, etc.).
  • Follow-up in a timely manner to determine “bid results”, subsequent RFP addendums and any special provisions or changes to the Final Proposal Submission (“Best and Final” submission, acknowledgement of amendments, etc.).
  • Organize/develop and lead all client pre-qualification requirements

Qualifications

  • Possess innovative and organizational abilities as they relate to the preparation of Proposal Documents
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word Processing, Graphics, and Formatting capabilities.
  • Ability to motivate teams and drive team members to results
  • Able to multi-task assignments and manage to stringent deadlines
  • College degree
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Strong Microsoft applications skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Able to accommodate a flexible schedule and willing and able to adapt to the demands of a high-paced, corporate environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead are a must

Education and Experience Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Five years in the preparation and development of Engineering and Technical Proposal Documents
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Strong Microsoft applications skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Able to accommodate a flexible schedule and willing and able to adapt to the demands of a high-paced, corporate environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead are a must
