Overview

Develop, deploy and manage the Quality Management System across Nuclear Maintenance and Boiler Maintenance Operations.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Establish and manage a multi-discipline Quality Management System for Dallas Operations.
  • Authors, deploys and manages the Corporate Quality Manual and ASME Code Manuals including supporting processes, procedures and forms.
  • Selects, coordinates assignment of and manages all Quality Personnel.
  • Effectively interprets contract quality requirements to establish inspection, testing and quality service activities for projects.
  • Provides training to company personnel regarding the implementation of the quality program and maintenance of quality related documentation, data and records.
  • Coordinates with third party agencies for quality related technical services.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

 

  • Knowledge and use of computers and software packages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills at a high level
  • Extensive knowledge of API, AWS, ASME, ANSI and NBIC Codes
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulatory statutes and requirements including NRC, OSHA, FERC, PHMSA, NFPA, IEE, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction quality control activities for oil and gas and power plant construction and nuclear and boiler maintenance projects.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • Minimum 5 yrs. experience in quality manual and supporting quality procedure writing / development for ASME code and/or NQA-1 related quality programs.
  • Previous experience in facilitating joint reviews with National Board and Authorized inspectors for NB and ASME stamp certification programs.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar quality leadership role in quality for fabrication and installation of ASME code piping, structural, mechanical equipment etc. in the oil and gas and/or nuclear industries.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager or equivalent (preferred)
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (preferred)
  • ISO-9001 Auditor Certification (preferred)
  • ASNT Level III NDT Certification
  • NACE Level III Certification
  • Associates or higher level degree in a related quality and/or engineering field.
